vet isnt so bad for pet plan related things like vaccines ect, but i had a medical issue with my husky so i called in to get their help as i’m a first time dog owner and previous trips there have been good, i got told it could be life threatening and got offered a £100+ scan to see the issue or medication, the price of the medication was not disclosed until i had them already prescribed. after being told it could be life threatening with the ONLY issues stated by the vet being bad health issues, i come to find out she was starting her period and this was just an effect of this, id like to think a qualified vet would have at least mentioned this to me before pressuring me into getting the scan or medication. i was charged £80 for the medication on top of a £60 consultation fee, in which all that was checked was her temperature and the discharged and the medication prescribed one had NOTHING to do with the issues id described so it was useless and i never used it and the other i got charged extra for and only after mentioning it 3+ times was it corrected. i’ve never felt so pressured to buy something i don’t need and couldn’t afford as i’ve had a recent bereavement and was going through that during this experience. after reading a lot of the negative reviews and seeing a lot of people having medication related issues i’d advise to look at alternative vets which wont be so pressuring

They advised my poorly cat required over night care from Valley Vets. When I got my cat to Valley Vets they were shocked at how little was done at Marlborough Road Vets to sustain my little ones health. Sadly she passed away later that night. After taking my complaint to them they denied any wrong doing but I had this direct from professionals that they had not done enough. Shame on you Marlborough Vets. I now take my cats elsewhere.
In response to your reply. You apparently looked into it after my complaint and found no wrong doing. But that's a little like a child marking their own homework. This is my review and it stands.
